Richard is an Artist painting in oil on canvas as well as other projects in a variety of materials. Formerly a Set and Costume Designer, he has lived and worked all over the world.

His Paintings are fresh and expressive, sensitive and bold. Celebrating his subjects he paints them thoughtfully with care, and builds up his images with thin layer upon layer to create vibrant compositions.

He loves the work of painters; Velasquez and Manet, Edward Hopper, Lucian Freud, Agnes Martin, Degas, Frida Kahlo, and Neo Rauch.
